999: The Novel Will Trap iPhone Users On March 17

Aksys Games will release the iPhone version of 999, the first game in the Zero Escape series, for iPhone. 999: The Novel is different from the Nintendo DS game since it does not contain any puzzles, it’s a pure visual novel.

One new feature from 999: The Novel is the flow chart from Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward is integrated into the game. Players can go back and try different routes without restarting the story. 999: The Novel will be released for $4.99 on March 17. If you haven’t played Banshee’s Last Cry check that out. The SNES classic is like the great granddaddy of the mystery visual novel genre and also served as inspiration for the Zero Escape games.
