A closer look at the Wii remote charging station

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’ve been playing with your Wii you probably have had to switch batteries… at least once. The remote is great, but it eats batteries like they were free. Some savvy gamers probably picked up NiMH rechargeable batteries already, which are the only batteries the instruction manual says to use. Nyko has a more convenient solution, a charging station where you can put your remotes down and charge it after you’re done playing. The package comes with a docking station for two remotes and special NiMH battery packs that last up to 25 hours after each charge. If there is any accessory for the Wii that is essential, I’d have to say this is it.
