A double Sting of Dokapon

Nintendo owners welcome back to the world of Dokapon. What’s Dokapon Kingdom? A party/board game fused with turn based combat. Sort of like the game of life, but with RPG battles. This video from Dokapon Kingdom for the PlayStation 2, the most recent entry in the series, will give you an idea of how the blend works.

dokads.jpgOn June 26, Sting will release Dokapon Journey for the Nintendo DS and Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii in Japan. Yes, the Wii version is a PlayStation 2 port with a few additions like waggle and a wig system. Dokapon Kingdom Wii also supports the Classic Controller, Gamecube pad and sideways Wii remote control schemes.

Dokapon Journey is new and supposedly more accessible. The Nintendo DS version has wireless game sharing (four players from one copy of the game), stylus control and mini games. Asmik Ace brought Dokapon over for the Game Boy Advance, but that installment was a flat out RPG, not a hybrid like Dokapon Kingdom.
