Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun Special is a remake of the 80s arcade game Renegade. Arc System Works and license holder Million developed this title to celebrate 25 years of bancho beat ’em ups. I played the Nintendo 3DS game and it’s just like the classic Kunio-Kun titles down to pressing A and B to jump.

Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun Special’‘s main addition is a River City Ransom style RPG lite mode where you can play as (and only as!) Kunio-kun who levels up with each punch. Select battle royal and you can choose a ton of characters from the series for four-on-four bicycle smacking brawls.
Renegade slated for release in Japan on December 15.
