Sony is rolling out a PlayStation 3 revision and a new PS3 bundle. The upcoming slim PS3 model uses less electricity than previous models and is a bit lighter. Otherwise, it’s the same system already in people’s homes. Sony’s greener console will be available in Japan later this month as a 320 GB model for 34,980 yen ($436).

On June 30, TV buffs can pick up a PlayStation 3 HDD (hard disk drive) recorder pack, which includes a 320 GB console plus the Torne TV recorder for 35,980 yen ($448). This accessory plugs into a TV and saves shows to the PS3 hard drive. Torne even has trophies like "drama master" which you get for watching ten shows classified as dramas and an award for watching TV for over 100 hours.
