A Visual Novel That’s Rumored To Kill Those Who Play It

Japanese studio Arai Koh Create has put the PC version of its visual novel Bad End on Steam Greenlight.

If you’re not familiar, Bad End is the visual novel equivalent of Ringu. Instead of a video tape, it perpetuates an urban myth that those who play a certain visual novel will die soon after if they make the wrong decision.

That deathly visual novel (inside the visual novel) is also called “Bad End.” So, it’s a visual novel called Bad End about a visual novel called Bad End. The confusion is deliberate. Would you play Bad End knowing that you’ll supposedly die after playing it?

You can wait until it arrives on Steam to answer that question or you can jump in right now by purchasing it on the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store.
