Where are all the Fairy Fountains in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

There are four Fairy Fountains in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You can find Great Fairy Mija in North Hebra, Great Fairy Tera in Eldin, Great Fairy Kaysa in South West Central Hyrule, and Great Fairy Cotera in Necluda. You must unlock each Fairy before you can access them, with having a special questline.

Check each of the Fairy Fountain’s exact location in the map I’ve provided below:

How do I unlock Great Fairy Tera in Tears of the Kingdom?

To kick off the Fairy Fountain quest, head to the Lucky Clover Gazette outside Rito Village in the Hebra region. After speaking to Traysi, the lengthy “Potential Princess Sightings” mission unlocks. Prepare for a long adventure that will have you criss-crossing around Hyrule. Even I felt physically tired due to how much walking Link had to do!

Head to Woodland Stable and speak to the violin player, then to Penn the Clover Gazette reporter. This will kick off the “Serenade to a Great Fairy” quest. To solve this puzzle, use Link’s Ultrahand power to put the wheels back on the musician’s cart. Next, go to the stable and take out a horse with a harness equipped and then attach it to the cart. Finally, drive the musicians up to the closed Fairy Fountain to trigger a special cutscene that unlocks Great Fairy Tera.

How do I unlock Great Fairy Mija in Tears of the Kingdom?

At the Snowfield Stable in Hebra, obtain the “Serenade to Mija” quest by speaking to the Stable Trotters musicians and Penn. Go to the Tabantha Bridge Stable, then cross the Tabantha Great Bridge. Look for smoke in the air near Piper Ridge and use Link’s Glider to drop into the pit where a musician can be found stranded.

After talking to Eustus, the “Hornist’s Dramatic Escape” quest will begin. To solve this problem, use Ultrahand to glue two Zonai Balloons to the metal plate nearby. Next, fuse the plate to the top of the cart and tell Eustus to hop in. Lastly, weld a Flame Emitter under each Balloon and then shoot an arrow to launch the contraption up and out of the pit.

With the mission complete, return to Snowfield Stable one last time. To wrap this up, fuse a wooden board to the top of the Stable Trotters’ cart to protect them from the snow, then tie a horse with a harness to it. Drive the musicians up the snowy mountains to unlock Great Fairy Mija.

How do I unlock Great Fairy Cotera in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The “Serenade to Cotera” quest is located at the Dueling Peaks Stable in West Necluda. After speaking to Penn and the Stable Trotters, you’re tasked with tracking down their missing drummer Beetz. Sound familiar? To find him, travel north from the stable and cross the Kakiriko Bridge.

Once you’re on the other side, travel right and you’ll find Beetz tucked away south of Bonooru’s Stand. Talking to the musician will trigger the “Honey, Bee Mine” quest. If you completed “Serenade to Fairy Mija” first, you will already have the three Honey Combs needed to complete Beetz’s request. If you don’t have the items, you can find bees north of Kakariko Village. They’re in trees just below the chasm next to East Hill.

Now that Beetz has his honey, warp back to the Dueling Peaks Stable and talk to the Stable Trotters. Use Ultrahand to glue the band’s car on top of a wooden raft. Attach two fans to the back of the makeshift boat and fuse a Steering Stick at the front. You are now ready to take to the river, where you can drive the musicians up the Fairy Cotera!

How to unlock Great Fairy Kaysa in Tears of the Kingdom?

The last Fairy is a little tricky to unlock as it is tied to a secret side quest. To obtain it, head to Highland Stable and look for a boy playing a flute in a tree. Speaking to Pyper will give you the “Flute Player’s Plan” quest. To complete it, you must catch 10 Sunset Fireflies.

Rest at a fireplace until it becomes night, then go north to the Faron Woods outskirts. The easiest way to catch the insects is to crouch and sneak up on them. Once you have 10, return to Pyper, who asks you to find a girl named Haite at Highland Stable. After doing so, travel to Outskirt Stable in South Hyrule Field.

Pyper will now be playing with the Stable Trotters, and you will finally obtain the “Serenade to Kaysa” quest after talking to them. The catch? You need to build a monster truck! No, seriously. Take the concrete slab nearby and fuse the four giant wheels and Steering Stick to it to create the makeshift truck. Lastly, place the musician’s cart on top and ask them to hop in. Drive the group up over the rocky mountain until you reach Great Fairy Cotera.

Regardless of which Tears of the Kingdom Fairy Fountain you visit, they all offer the same upgrade powers. If you bring the correct material, you can power up Link’s armor for better defensive stats. There is technically a fifth Fairy Fountain in North Akkala at Malanya Spring, if you can call it a Fairy. The Horse God can revive and upgrade Link’s horse mount.
