What else does Ignition have on their plate besides El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron? It appears a new version of Archer Maclean’s Mercury.
Long before Ignition got into localizing Japanese video games, they released a puzzle game where you rolled through levels as a blob of color changing mercury. Ignition published the PSP game in North America and Europe. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan scooped it up and published it as a first party game for the region.
Mercury had several follow ups and the last one, Mercury Meltdown Revolution, was for Wii. According to Germany’s USK, Mercury is oozing on to HD consoles. The rating board examined Mercury Hg from Ignition Entertainment on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
While Ignition has been very active in Japan since El Shaddai was just released, the publisher has been fairly quiet in the West. Perhaps, they’re saving Mercury Hg as one of their E3 reveals.
