The third game in the Arland trilogy, stars Meruru, a princess and a new apprentice alchemist. Totori from Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is her tutor. Atelier Meruru begins with Meruru sneaking out of the Castle of Earls and into Totori’s workshop. After making a mess in Totori’s laboratory, the group goes on a material hunt where Rufus finds Meruru.
You’ll meet Gino, one of Totori’s close friends, in Atelier Totori first where he is a young boy who dreamt of adventuring the world.
In Atelier Meruru, Gino is all grown up and continues to fight to enhance his strength.
Now 20, Gino reunites with Totori as a powerful playable character. Unlike other characters, Meruru’s royal status doesn’t make Gino bashfully hold back.
One of his battle techniques is "Hailstorm."
Filly also comes from Atelier Totori and she’s a little less shy than she was before.
She looks similar, but the reserved receptionist’s role changed from game to game. In Atelier Totori, Filly was a friend, she plays a big sister role in Atelier Meruru.
Created by Astrid, the two homunculi Hom and Hum, return from Atelier Rorona. They’re in charge of taking care of little Rorona. Bit by bit, these two artificial life forms begin expressing more human emotions.
Dessie is the King of Earls and Meruru’s overprotective father. When he was young, he went on an adventure with his friends.
When Rufus brings Meruru back to the castle, she tells her father her dream of becoming an alchemist. Dessie refuses and Meruru runs out of the castle again. In the game, Rufus will be your point of contact, not Dessie. Resolving differences between Meruru and her father seems to be a key point in this game’s story.
Atelier Meruru comes out on June 23 in two packages – a standalone game and a premium box with another crystal paperweight.
