The Atelier series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and Gust put together a nice little video for the fans, looking back at many titles from the alchemy-themed RPG series. Here’s the message at the start of the video:

At first, anyone is incompetent.
An invulnerable brave man, a famous alchemist,
a cook to the Royal Household… and so on.
But they wish the hope, the desire more than others.
And they attained their long-cherished desire.

The Atelier series made its debut with Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg on PlayStation back in May 1997. The latest entry is Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, and more recently announced Atelier Lidy & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting.
