Yesterday, I was watching this trailer of Odin Sphere, an RPG developed by Vanillaware who made Princess Crown for the Saturn. Today, I get an e-mail confirming from Atlus USA that it is coming out late this spring for the Playstation 2! Odin Sphere begins with a war between the fairies of Ringford and warriors of Ragnanival that is prophesized to lead to the end of the world. You start out as playing Gwendolyn, the daughter of Odin, who is trying to figure out the truth behind the prophecy. Besides Gwendolyn there are four other characters you can play as and their fate is tied with the other characters. The thing that I really dig about Odin Sphere is the artwork. It’s 2D and it’s stylish. See how Odin looks and what battles are like in the screenshots past the break.
