Atlus Updates Persona 5 Royal Streaming Guidelines

Atlus has updated its guidelines for Persona 5 Royal to allow for the content from the entire game to appear in videos or streams. Prior to June 14, 2023, it did not allow creators to upload content from the third semester. That would have been all content past the in-game December.

There will be no patch to remove the in-game lock on recording anything past the third semester. If you’re playing on the PS4, for example, you cannot use the PS4’s existing recording or screenshot functions from January in Persona 5 Royal. This is because the game itself restricts the players from doing so. Since Atlus won’t patch it out, you’ll have to use a capture card or something similar to record scenes from the third semester.

Other guidelines for streaming or making content with Persona 5 Royal remain the same. You have to tag content that would count as spoilers with a spoiler warning, and you must display both Atlus and Sega’s copyrights. Atlus also does not allow videos of just the soundtrack, nor does it allow content that slanders other parties, including other players. As well, you cannot upload your videos to a site that has a paywall.

Persona 5 Royal is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Streamers and creators can now include content from the entire game on their channels.
