This week, at the Game Developers Conference, Sony showcased a new augmented reality title for the PlayStation Vita, called Magnet. Using a strip of PlayStation symbols (above), Magnet created a game space for AR pong.
The playable demo made the Vita a paddle, and players moved it left or right to bounce a ball back and forth. On the handheld’s screen players could see Tron style paddles and electrically charged walls, which the ball bounced off of.
Magnet is still the game’s working title, but it looks like an interesting application of Vita AR. It should be fun to see how the final product turns out.
