DLC as a pre-order bonus for Infinite Undiscovery

I stepped into Infinite Undiscovery at the wrong time. Another player just put down the controller and I grabbed it in the middle of an event with Capell, the protagonist, stuck in a castle. Capell defends himself against waves of armored soldiers with sword slashes and flips. He also plays songs with his flute. None of my songs emitted a sonic boom. However, you only control one character at a time. The other three party members do their own thing unless you request them to heal by pressing the Y button or come over for partner attack. You can change the party member’s tactics by selecting options with the D-pad. Infinite Undiscovery felt similar to a MMORPG, except I was walled in by a dense fog. My hands-on time was spent on killing soldiers with swordplay.

I didn’t get to try out the smell system, so I asked about it. Some bugs in Infinite Undiscovery spray you party with scents that makes you easy to detect by other, more powerful monsters. There are status recovery items to remove the odor if you don’t want to attract a pack of wolves.

As I mentioned before, Infinite Undiscovery has downloadable content, which I confirmed with Square Enix. I tried to get more information on the specifics to no avail, but one piece of DLC is an item. It will be given out as a pre-order bonus plus a lithograph. Gamestop shines a little more light on the DLC situation by explaining you get to choose one of five DLC items “which will affect your characters’ growth and abilities.” OK, we’re up to five items now.
