Battle Brutal Monsters Inspired By European Folklore In Maldita Castilla EX

Maldita Castilla EX, now know as Cursed Castilla, is a sidescrolling action game inspired by Ghosts ‘N’ Goblins with a bestiary that draws from European mythology, folklore, and fiction.

While Don Ramiro works to fight the creatures that have been freed from Hell by a witch’s tears, he’ll come across monsters from mythology and fiction. Creatures and bosses such as the Nuberu, a mythological being that can control the weather, or Crazy Quixote, a dangerous creature drawn from Cervantes’ book Don Quixote, will attack Ramiro as he crosses the countryside.

The game’s stages are also filled with locations that have been inspired by real world castles and historical sites around Spain and beyond. Places like Palacio de los Aguila, the castle at Manzanares el Real, and many more historical sites are represented in the game, giving players a tour of the past as they battle mythical monsters.

Cursed Castilla is available now on Xbox One and Steam, and is still set to arrive on PS4 sometime in the near future.
