Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale: The Journey Begins starts in the Desertsmouth Mountains where Rezlus and the Zhentarim mercenaries are on the brink of invading the Dalelands in the Forgotten Realms. His evil plan is to use the power of the Black Lord Bane to strike, but a group of heroes stand in his way. You’re one of them and your first task is to venture into the catacombs in Tethyamar to restore order to Nentir Vale.

That’s… a lot of Dungeons & Dragons lore and there is even more embedded into the gameplay. Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale is based on the 4th edition ruleset. Sounds complicated on paper, but it’s a four player hack-and-slash game at heart.

Atari has Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale slated for a spring release on PC, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade.
