  • Element: Aero.
  • Weapon: Broadblade.
  • How To Obtain: Featured on the limited character banner.

  • Rarity: 5-Star.
  • Element: Spectro.
  • Weapon: Sword.
  • How To Obtain: Automatic.

Surprisingly, Wuthering Wave’s main character is actually one of the better units at launch. What makes Rover a good character is their sheer damage-dealing ability. All their attacks deal a consistent amount of damage which increases for certain attacks like their dodge attack and their Resonance Skills. After being leveled up a little bit, they will be able to heal themselves a little, which is particularly useful.

  • Rarity: 4-Star.
  • Element: Aero.
  • Weapon: Sword.
  • How To Obtain: Starter character.

Yangyang is similar to Rover in that she is a very consistent damage dealer. Her intro skill is especially powerful, and she deals with a huge amount of Aero damage on a rather wide AoE. It also sends the target airborne, which inherently increases its duration. Her attack combos have great synergy, building on each other in a way other characters don’t quite achieve.

Yinlin

  • Element: Electro.
  • Weapon: Rectifier.
  • How To Obtain: When The Thunder Pours Banner.

Yinlin is one of Wuthering Waves’ first featured characters on the event banners, and she certainly makes a splash. She controls a horrifying puppet called Zapstring, which she uses to attack. Her Resonance Skill allows her to enter Execution Mode, which allows her to make additional Lightning attacks in addition to her regular attacks.

Wuthering Waves is now available on iOS, Android, and PC.
