BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s PS4 Open Beta Coming To North America May 9-14

    Arc System Works recently revealed an open beta for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle for Japan and it’s been announced that North American players will also get to join in on it on the same dates.

     

    Starting on May 9 to those who pre-order the game digitally will get immediate access to the open beta via the PlayStation Store. It’ll come with the following 20 characters from across the BlazBlue, Persona, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY universes:

    • Es

     

    Persona 4 Arena

    Here are the modes that will be available:

    • Casual Lobby mode
    • Tactics Mode (Tutorial & Practice Only)
    • VS Mode against the CPU
    • VS Mode against a second player (available only to digital pre orders on PSN)

     

    Those with digital pre-orders via PSN will get to play from May 9 through May 12 with 20 characters and access to the Casual Lobby, Tactics Mode (Tutorial & Practice Only) VS Mode (CPU), VS Mode (2P for PSN pre-orders only).

     

    Following is the open beta for all users from May 12 through May 14. It’ll also include the 20 characters and the same modes as well as local VS Mode only available for PSN pre-orders.

     

    Following the open beta, an offline demo will be available to all PS4 owners to download digitally. Digital PSN pre-orders are granted access to both the full 20 character beta roster as well as the 2P VS Mode. Non pre-order demos include 4 characters featuring one from each universe, and VS Mode only against the CPU.

     

    BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle releases for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Japan and Asia on May 31, 2018. The game releases in North America on June 5 and in Europe in Summer 2018.
