BlazBlue Developers’ Next Game Was Originally Written By Ragna’s Voice Actor

While Arc System Works are prominently known for their fast-paced 2D fighters like BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, they’ve been branching out with visual novel titles such as XBlaze: Code Embyro. Their next title in the genre, Getsuei Academy Kou, is based off the light-novel by Tomokazu Sugita, known for voice acting BlazBlue’s Ragna the Bloodedge, and Sakata Gintoki in the anime, Gintama.



The Second First Day Of Transfer”


Hiroshi Toyama, who transferred to Tsukie Academy, was assaulted by a deformed creature, known as “Hazard,” on the night of his first day at the academy. Just as his life was flashing before his eyes, he was saved by Eri Mitsuki, a first-year student of the same school. However, his sense of relief was short-lived, as Hiroshi was immediately killed by the young girl instead.


…or so he thought.


Hiroshi wakes up the next morning at the comfort of his home. Baffled by the event that occurred the night before, he sets out to Getsuei Academy. It doesn’t take long for him to realize that the date marked on the calendar is in fact, the date of his first day of transfer, which should’ve been the previous day…


Hiroshi Toyama



The protagonist of Getsuei Academy Kou. He returned to Mono City to protect his grandparents from his own parents, and has been transferred to the local Getsuei Academy. After certain events, he becomes part of the school’s student council, and must fight the Hazard.


Eri Mitsuki



Eri is from a prestigious family, known as the Nine “Dragons”. Following the steps of her older brother, she too, joins the student council at Getsuei Academy, where she’ll also be fighting the Hazard. While she may be a little awkward for the most part, she actually has exceptional physical abilities and the ability to sense when danger is near.


Getsuei Academy Kou is slated for release on October 10th for PlayStation Vita
