Bleach: Versus Crusade Uses "Classic" Controls

New screenshots of Bleach: Versus Crusade are up on Famitsu and the visuals are reminiscent of Bleach: Shattered Blade. But, this game might not use the same stab/slash system. Treasure is taking control of development and NintendoWiiFanboy aptly points out Bleach: Versus Crusade supports the Gamecube controller and Classic Controller something Bleach: Shattered Blade didn’t. Balancing a fighting game with rapid remote swings and buttons would be a difficult task. I guess Capcom is going to be trying it out first with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes and its easy to operate remote control scheme. Since Treasure is the developer shaking the remote to death wouldn’t work well with the more technical moves in their Bleach DS games. It’s going to be interesting to see which direction Bleach: Versus Crusade goes in. We’ll have to wait until December 18 when Bleach: Versus Crusade is released in Japan to find out.
