To coincide with pre-registrations opening in Japan, Square Enix has released a new trailer. This trailer features a look at combat and several key characters that will appear in the game. The visuals are similar to Bravely Default II. Additionally, the official website for the mobile title has been updated. This includes information about game adjustments that were made after feedback received from the closed beta test.

Bravely Default Brilliant Lights will not have a character gacha. Players will be able to pick their favorite character and level them up without needing to obtain them from banners. The title will also have a focus on single-player gameplay. However, PvP and raids will be available.
