With Fake Man released as downloadable content what else is there about Mega Man 9 that we don’t know? Seth Killian, Senior Community Manager at Capcom, says on the Capcom message boards, “There’s only one undiscovered Mega Man 9 secret that I know about… I don’t predict anyone will discover this one for quite a while yet…”. The response is answer to a question about the blank weapon slot in the item screen where Killian explains there aren’t any secret weapons.
We’re left to speculate about what of kind of secret is hidden deep in Mega Man 9 for players to discover. I honestly have no idea what it is, but here are two neat things you may not have noticed in Mega Man 9. Spoiler warning!
1.) If you have the Xbox 360 version and switch your console’s language to Japanese the title changes to Rockman 9 with the Japanese subtitle. This is a bit unusual since Mega Man 9 is only a WiiWare game in Japan. I guess Capcom just left the Japanese text in.
2.) The Mystery Tank’s “mystery” effect is it changes weaker enemies into 1ups. Use it during Wily’s castle to stock up on lives and earn the Almost Invincible achievement.
