Carmageddon: Reincarnation, an upcoming game in the destructive racing series, will make its debut on March 27th via Steam’s Early Access program, developer Stainless Games have announced. Stainless were the developers of the original Carmageddon and have re-acquired the rights to the franchise in recent years.

At present, Carmageddon: Reincarnation is at a pre-alpha stage. The game began development as a self-funded project with a skeleton team and was then funded via a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2012. In 2013, one of the company’s shareholders, Les Edgar, invested in the project, too.

Kickstarter backers who contributed to Carmageddon: Reincarnation will have access to the game two weeks prior to its March 27th release on Early Access. Additionally, Stainless have also released a “damage tech” video of the game, which you can watch above.
