While the second season of the animated Castlevania series has yet to launch, it’s been revealed by Richard Armitage who voices Trevor Belmont that it is getting a third season with Netflix. [Thanks, Digital Spy.]

Here’s the quote from Trevor Belmont’s voice actor Richard Armitage:

“We’re about to record a third. The second season hasn’t been aired yet, but we’re about to do a third.”

Digital Spy made an attempt to reach out to Netflix for more, but the streaming service had no official comment to make about the renewal of the Castlevania animated series’ Season 3.

For those of you keeping up with the series, Armitage also shared some hints for the second season that is expected to arrive sometime this summer:

“The son of Dracula [Adrian Tepes, voiced by James Callis] and my character get much more collaborative. I think that’s one of the most exciting things, they start to really work together.”

And lastly, he talked about how he’d love to see a live-action version for Castlevania:

“I love my character in Castlevania… he’s this anti-heroic, drunk, slightly foul-mouthed, irritable git!

“I feel like it would make the most brilliant live-action piece. It’s slightly anarchic and humorous – we don’t often see vampire heroics in that vein. One day, maybe.”

Castlevania is available to watch on Netflix.
