Check Out The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game’s New Web-Swinging Mechanics

Beenox have shared a developer walkthrough video of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game, featuring new footage from the upcoming title.

Creative director Thomas Wilson begins by demonstrating the game’s web-swinging system, whereby Spider-Man’s webbing attaches to actual buildings and objects, rather than an invisible point in mid-air. Additionally, Spider-Man’s arms are now mapped to the left and right triggers while swinging.

Wilson then demonstrates the game’s “Hero or Menace” system, which keeps tracks of your actions as Spider-Man. Wilson also hints at an increased number of costumes to use in the game, and says that these will offer more than just a cosmetic change.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be available on April 29th in North America and May 2nd in Europe for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
