The gameplay shows off early areas in the game, including the Undernauts’ first exploration of the Yomi structure in search for energy resources. The Undernauts are illegally hired miners of all ages and sizes, sent underground to mine resources for the benefit of Cassandra Co., and Experience showed off the different appearances and character variations available in-game. It seems that voice acting will not be included in the game.

While the Undernauts are comprised of normal humans with no special powers, they are able to harness special techniques and abilities via the Switch Boost, a device implanted into their heads. This allows the Undernauts to boost their physical abilities for either offensive or defensive purposes, as well as use zero MP for the turn. It can even be used to double the amount of rewards you get if you win the battle while Switch Boost is active. Switch Boost takes a turn to recharge, and will recharge in the order of the ability used.

You can watch the gameplay below (begins 23:02 mark):

Yomi wo Saku Hana will release digitally for the Xbox One on June 11, 2020. The game will later release on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Winter 2020.
