A number of people have been experiencing issues with the PlayStation Vita version of Stardew Valley since its May 24, 2018 launch. There have been multiple crash reports, which happen when people attempt to fish, craft certain items or sometimes save. Fortunately, an official response has come from the Chucklefish forums noting help is on the way.

Katy “Superconsole” Ellis works with the community and marketing at Chucklefish and provided an official reply. She said that the porting team is working on a patch to fix issues like crashing and framerate drops. Particularly helpful is when Ellis says, “I know getting these crashes can be disappointing, but your reports have been very helpful in narrowing down where the majority of problems are associated with issuing PS Trophies, where a clash exists between the PS4 and Vita trophy systems.” She also says she will provide an update again when a patch date has been announced.

Stardew Valley is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and PC.
