Created by Chulip developer Yoshiro Kimura, Dandy Dungeon ~Legend of Brave Yamada~ will put players into the shoes of a thirty-six year old salaryman game programmer who hates his job at a big game company. At home, in the night, though, he is hard at work on his own RPG, one born of his love of games.
Player will play through the game Yamada, the developer within the game, is creating in Dandy Dungeon ~Legend of Brave Yamada~. To do so, they’ll have to draw a path for him to take through each dungeon, clearing squares of enemies, skirting around traps, and picking up treasures. The player will have access to special items and spells to help him clear each floor, and knowing when to best use those items will make a big difference.
Yamada has put facets of his real life into his game, including his eighteen year old neighbor, Maria-chan, who is a princess to be saved. Through the game’s tasks, perhaps the developer will bring his love for her to some sort of resolution. Players will also have to live through some of Yamada’s life’s difficulties between stages as well, going through lighthearted story segments about the challenges he faces.
Dandy Dungeon ~Legend of Brave Yamada~ features the developer’s same offbeat, characteristic sense of humor with its items, story, music, and play. It is available for free on iOS and Android, offering in-App purchases of items and tools.
