Final Fantasy fans take note, the job system introduced in Final Fantasy III returns in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land. However, it’s handled differently since Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land shares more in common with a SimCity than an action RPG.
Players construct buildings like the Shiroma Hogakuin (White Mage Academy) or the Kuroma Hougakuin (Black Mage Academy) to create magic ready adventurers. Just like the other Final Fantasy games White Mages excel at using spells like cure and haste while Black Mages use elemental attack magic. Once you have a band of adventurers the Little King can send them out on missions posted on the town’s bulletin board to earn money and further develop the kingdom.
