Contest – What is Siliconera to you?

I don’t think many people noticed it, but the new layout has a “What is Siliconera?” link on all of the pages. Even though Siliconera has existed in blog form for almost three years now I still don’t know what Siliconera is. Yes, it’s a site about video games, that’s pretty obvious, but what separates it in your mind from the zillions of other video game portals on the web?

So I’m asking you (the reader) to share stories about what Siliconera is to you in the “What is Siliconera?” post. Feel free to write about how you found it, what makes it special or whatever!

Since this is our 2.66 year anniversary I have a special prize in store for anyone who posts a comment (note: one word spam entries saying “pizza” or anything like that will be excluded) Tingle’s Balloon Fight for the Nintendo DS! Yes, a coveted Club Nintendo item that is only available in Japan. I picked one of these up at Softmap specifically for a reader contest.
