Contra Anniversary Collection Will Include Contra: Hard Corps And Probotector

The rest of the Contra Anniversary Collection games have been revealed. A number of variants will be included, which means the four games already revealed, people will get the Famicom version of Contra, the NES version of Contra, Operation C for the Game Boy, the Genesis version of Contra: Hard Corps for the Genesis, Probotector for the Sega Mega Drive, and Super Probotector: Alien Rebels for the SNES in the compilation. These join the arcade versions of Contra and Super Contra, Super C on the NES, and Contra III: The Alien Wars for the SNES. (Thanks, IGN!)

 

In addition, Contra Anniversary Collection will receive a free update similar to the one headed to Castlevania Anniversary Collection. The Japanese versions of certain games will eventually be added to the compilation. This means people will have a different versions of the Arcade releases of both Contra and Super Contra, Super C‘s Japanese Super Contra: The Alien Strikes Back version, Contra III: The Alien Wars and Super Probotector: Alien Rebels‘s Japanese Contra Spirits counterpart, Operation C‘s Contra version, and the Contra: The Hard Corps version of Contra: Hard Corps.

 

Contra Anniversary Collection will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Summer 2019. It will cost $19.99. Its official website has not yet been updated with information on the rest of the games in the collection.
