Cowboy Bebop Anime Cast Returns for Live-Action Netflix Japanese Dub

The Netflix live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop is approaching its November 2021 release. To promote the show in Japan, Netflix announced that the program’s Japanese dub will be performed by the primary voice cast of the original Cowboy Bebop anime series. The news came via the Netflix Japan Anime official Twitter account, as well as the official English-languageĀ Cowboy Bebop account. https://twitter.com/netflixjp_anime/status/1448063149811265540?s=12 Spike Spiegel, who is played by actor John Cho in the NetflixĀ Cowboy Bebop, will be voiced in Japanese by Koichi Yamadera. Yamadera also plays Beerus inĀ Dragon Ball Super and voiced Joel in The Last of Us‘ Japanese dub. Megumi Hayashibara will reprise her role as Faye Valentine, played by Daniella Pineda. Hayashibara’s roles includeĀ Evangelion‘s Rei Ayanami andĀ Ranma 1/2‘s Female Ranma. Jet Black, who is played by Mustafa Shakir in the new show, will be voiced by Taiten Kusunoki. Unsho Ishizuka, Jet’s original voice actor, died in 2018. Kusunoki also played Leonard Burns inĀ Fire Force and Vulcan Haestus inĀ Promare. Norio Wakamoto will return to play the voice of Vicious, who is played by Alex Hassell in the live-action series. Wakamoto’s long career in voice acting includes roles like Emperor Charles fromĀ Code Geass and Oskar von Reuenthal fromĀ Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
