Delphox Will Be Added to Pokemon Unite Next Week

The next Pokemon Unite character will be Delphox. The official Twitter account revealed the fire and psychic-type will join the game on June 8, 2022. There’s no gameplay footage for the character yet. This means we also don’t know what kind of character Delphox will be.

Fennekin appeared as one of the three Pokemon X and Y starters. The fox starts out as a pure fire-type. It remains that way in its second stage, when it evolves to Braixen. It’s only when it evolves into Delphox that it becomes a dual-type Pokemon. Given its fire and psychic abilities, this character could end up being a ranged attacker in Pokemon Unite.

As for other recent additions, Espeon became Pokemon Unite‘s next Eeveelution in May 2022. Before that, Azumarill joined the roster in April 2022.

However, you can technically use a lot more characters in-game now. That’s because the Catch ’em Battle mode. When you enter this 4v4 mode, you’ll be able to catch wild Pokemon in the field and use them alongside your chosen character. This would include more ordinary characters, like Ludicolo, and boss characters such as Zapdos.

Pokemon Unite is available for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, and Delphox will join the game on June 8, 2022.
