Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio is working on a new game for the What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord? series for PSVR and it releases in Japan this fall. Here are more details from this week’s Famitsu. [Thanks, Hachima.]

As we previously saw earlier this year, graphics for V! What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord? R changed from the traditional pixel-art graphics to full-3D, but it’ll still retain the food cycle and homage elements. There’s a new action called “Destroyer Skills” that can slow down the hero (remember, you go against the hero in these games) and you can also collect Dragon Orbs to unlock a variety of skills.

Here are some of the Destroyer Skills:

  • March of Demons: Make monsters march to the position of your pointer. You can get a bunch of monsters together to blitzkrieg villages and castles. This will definitely be needed to clear some stages.

  • Thunder of Demons: Deal direct damage to the hero with a thunder attack. It won’t do big damage that often but its ability to stun the hero is valuable.

  • Demon’s Children Meat: Meat for both the monsters and heroes drop. When monsters eat it, they get an effect for breeding acceleration. When the hero eats it, he gets a status ailment.

Monsters and the hero move on their own, so the player won’t be controlling them. However, by using the “God Con” (or God Controller, your PS4 controller) to suck up monsters, you can drop them anywhere on in the demon world. Shaking the controller with monsters inside creates a Magic Circle used to make powerful monsters such as Demons appear. Magic Circle varieties change according to the total power of monsters that are sucked up inside the controller. That said, you’ll want to collect powerful monsters to make stronger Magic Circles.

Here’s some info on the game’s characters

  • Overlord Badman (CV: Tomokazu Seki): The demon lord who summoned the player (Destroyer) to take over the world.

  • Badmella (CV: Ami Koshimizu): First made her appearance in What Did I Do to Deserive This, My Lard? 2 as a DLC character. She’ll work with Badman to watch the player.

V! What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord? R was previously announced for a Spring 2017 release on PS4, but it has since then been delayed to Fall 2017.
