During Nintendo’s Treehouse Live @ E3 that took place after their digital event, Nintendo of America Senior Product Marketing Manager Bill Trinen shared more details on the interactive amiibo figures.

Unlike the Skylander figures, the amiibo won’t be restricted to one game, but with several others, such as Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8 and more to come.

The first example we got a closer look at comes from Super Smash Bros., where you simply place the figure on the Wii U GamePad, and the amiibocan fight against other amiibo characters, or even your friends, as they gain experience and level up.

The amiibo will become your personal figures, as they can have their special moves customized, or trained to improve stats and expand tactical abilities. Having your amiibo fight others will make it gain more experience compared to fighting computer characters and other players.
