Detective Pikachu’s Lengthy Footage Shows How You Meet The Talking Pikachu

Recommended Videos

Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo released in Japan today, and GameXplain put together a video showing over 2 hours of the game’s opening stage.

The video starts out with the game’s opening, and you see a bit of Pikachu’s past, a dream that he always seems to see. He gets excited upon seeing a “cutie” and as he tries talking to her, he says “eh, I guess she can’t understand me, although I do.”

He almost gets hit by a car and lashes out with a barrage of angry “pikas” but then asks himself if anyone understands a word he is saying. We then see Tim walking out of the subway station of Rhyme City.

Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo is currently available in Japan for Nintendo 3DS. Check our earlier report for more details on the game.
