Each time you encounter a Digimon in the field, your Digimon Scanner will automatically activate, and scan the Digimon. Once you reach 100% on a Digimon, you’ll get to convert the data of the said Digimon at the lab, then get it to join you.

 

Any additional percentages increases its status parameters.

Once you convert the data, it takes the form of an egg, and eventually hatches into a Digimon.

Digimon evolve and become stronger, but in order to do so, you’ll need to meet certain requirements. The above shows what you need to get a MetalGreymon, and the requirements are: over level 30, more than 350 max HP, over 100 attack, 50% friendship.

Once the conditions are met, you can choose to evolve your Digimon into much stronger forms, with more powerful attacks.

Simply leveling up and evolving your Digimon won’t be the only way to get powerful allies, as you can even repeat devolutions and evolutions as a way to get the most optimized Digimon. There are also some that can only evolve with certain items as well.
