The character designs are being handled by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, best known for his character design work on the Digimon Adventure and Digimon Tamers series. He’s also known for being able to closely match Akira Toriyama’s style and has worked as the character designer, key animator, animation director for numerous Dragon Ball movies and some episodes from the series.

As for Digimon Realize, it’ll revolve around improving your friendship with Digimon in Digi-Town. It’ll feature original Digimon as well as ones you’re familiar with. The story will be about an ujnown threat to the real world and Digital World, and the friendship with Digimon.

Ryokutya describes the gameplay part as something like Digimon World and the Digi-Town as an Animal Crossing-like feature.

Digimon Realize is expected to launch in Japan in 2018 for iOS and Android.
