Doublesix journeys into digital downloads with South Park and burning zombies

Microsoft quickly announced South Park as an Xbox Live Arcade game during their E3 press conference without video, screenshots or even the name of the developer. Doublesix, one of the studios from Kuju Entertainment, stepped forward as the developer with a press release confirming South Park will come out in 2009. This isn’t the only downloadable game Doublesix is working on. Their home page has another title called Burn Zombie Burn for PCs and the PlayStation Network. I’m cautiously optimistic about South Park. Acclaim’s horrible Nintendo 64 game left a bad taste in my mouth, but I’m quite curious about their zombie hunting game since it’s a new intellectual property.

In addition to making downloadable games for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 they are working on WiiWare and PSP. The PSP could really use some more games even if they are downloadable titles.
