Unlike recent Dragon Ball Z fighting games, each transformation is considered a different character in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. The four player fighting game will have downloadable characters too.

Super Vegeta and Super Saiyan Bardock were confirmed by Jump as DLC scheduled to come out on February 6, two weeks after Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z comes out in Japan. Super Saiyan Bardock is a fighting type character and Super Vegeta is a ki blast type. Each character will cost 300 yen.
Namco Bandai will release Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Vita as a digital download in North America on January 28.
