Dragon Quest Heroes II released in Japan in May and it’s getting the last part of its free DLC series with the “Monster Coin Battle” competitive multiplayer mode. Here’s its first look.

The “Monster Coin Battle” is a free DLC feature that allows you to compete with up to four players in a multiplayer versus mode. The goal is to see who can do more damage to boss monsters, and the key to that is using Monster Coins, which allows you to transform into monsters.

 

There are two modes, the first is “Everybody Competes with Same Power,” which is the more balanced way for players of different levels or gear, while the “Challenge with Your Current Power” allows you to compete and see who is the best using everyone’s best characters and their current stats.

 

Dragon Quest Heroes II is currently available in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. The
