Dragon Quest of the Stars Launches On October 15th in Japan

Dragon Quest of the Stars is Square Enix’s upcoming free-to-play title that has a Dragon Quest IX look to it, and also offers multiplayer co-op. 4Gamer provides a look at its latest screenshots for the game.

Similar to Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, you’ll get to create and customize your own characters. From there, you’ll take on dungeons and level up with friends.

While cooperating with friends, you’ll get to party up and fight monsters with each player in control of their own character. There are various classes such as the Warrior, Ranger, Priest, and Mage.

You’ll also encounter some familiar villains such as the Dragonlord from the original Dragon Quest. So this is what he’s been up to when he isn’t busy sending his minions to crush villages in Dragon Quest Builders.

There are various weapons and pieces of armor to collect, which affect your looks in Dragon Quest of the Stars.

The game also features LINE-like stamps that you can use to communicate with your buddies in multiplayer mode. These above stamps were illustrated as part of a collaboration with Kanahei-san.
