When Dragon Quest XI released in Japan on July 29, it was revealed that it had sold two million copies between both PS4 and 3DS versions in its first two days. Here are the digital sales from the same period. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

According to the report from this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine, Dragon Quest XI sold 113,182 digital copies on PS4 and 62,939 digital units sold on 3DS from July 29 to July 30, 2017.

With a total of about 176,121 digital sales in its first two days, that means less than 10% of the 2 million sold comes from digital sales. It’s also worth noting that the PS4 version saw more shortage in stock with higher sell-through rates, so that explains the much higher numbers compared to the 3DS version.

To give you a better idea on those figures, Famitsu provided a couple examples with the first two-day sales of Splatoon 2 which sold 60,205 digital copies and Gundam Versus with 48,260 digital copies.

Dragon Quest XI is available in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. The game will be available in the West in 2018.
