Dungeon Encounters, Square Enix’s latest dungeon-crawling RPG with turn-based battles, is now available. To help people better understand how the original IP works, there’s another look at it. The Dungeon Encounters launch trailer shows what it is like to explore, use skills, and fight foes. There are also examples of its character art and soundtrack throughout the video.
Square Enix revealed Dungeon Encounters at TGS 2021. While it is a more traditional experience that is more about function than form, notable names made it. Ryoma Ito, who is known for designing characters in games like Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, acted as its character designer. Nobuo Uematsu worked on its music. And Director Hiroyuki Ito also served as the FFIX and FFXII director.
In addition to the new trailer, Square Enix also confirmed a launch discount for Dungeon Encounters. Until October 29, 2021, it is possible to get it for 20% off. On the Nintendo eShop and Steam, this discount brings the price down to $23.99 for everyone. However, on the PlayStation Store it only costs that much if someone is a PlayStation Plus subscriber. People who aren’t still have to pay $29.99.
