Following a look at Dungeon Travelers 2-2’s opening movie yesterday, Aquaplus shared a new trailer that gives us an overview of what the upcoming “what if” story game is all about.
Since the story isn’t exactly a sequel but a “what if” story of the last boss winning the fight from the previous game, those of you who haven’t played the game can still jump into this one without any worries.
Protagonist Fried is now stuck in a younger form with no memories of what happened before. He’ll team up with two new characters named Ruko and Siena, and must find heroines that once helped out Fried; however, they’ll appear in “Darkness Fallen” forms and will need some help.
Party members can change classes by leveling up, and you have classes such as Magic User that branches into Sorceress, Enchantress, and Priestess. These also branch into Witch, Magical Princess, Sage, and Bishop, so there’s quite a bit of variety going on with the classes.
The trailer also goes through the new “Mercenary Buddy” system that lets you hire mercenaries. These guys join your party and act on their own with attacks, skills, and support without the need of your command. You can read more about them in our earlier report.
Dungeon Travelers 2-2 releases in Japan on April 20, 2017 for PlayStation Vita.
