Earthworm Jim And A New Art Style Remix Unearthed For This Wii-kly Update

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

We only have one Virtual Console game this week, but it’s a good one. It’s the Sega Genesis version of Earthworm Jim! In the game you play as an earthworm that mutates after a super charged suit falls on top of him. Jim learns Princess What’s-Her-Name is captured and sets off to save her by… flinging cows. The zany level design made Earthworm Jim different from other 2D platformers and it’s worth picking up for 800 Wii Points ($8).

Strong Bad Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands and Art Style: Rotohex are this week’s WiiWare games. Jenni has a lot more to say about Strong Bad Episode 3 so I’ll focus on Rotohex. It’s sort of like Hexic, and basically Dialhex for WiiWare. You have rotate triangular pieces to place them in same color hexagons. Once you make a mono colored HEX it vanishes leaving more space for new pieces. Art Style: Rotohex costs 600 Wii Points ($6) and it’s the third game in the Art Style series. Nintendo said there would be at least three games in the series, but hopefully more remixed Bit Generations games are coming. We haven’t gotten to Digidrive or Soundvoyager yet!
