Famitsu revealed a new warrior class in Etrian Odyssey IV, which has a character designed like a Rakshasa. This class hails from a savage land and can bring fierce fighting skills to a party exploring the Yggdrasil Labyrinth. Warriors can sacrifice HP & TP to deal extra damage and get endure a fatal blow once per battle.
Etrian Odyssey IV has a subclass system, so you can give these gruff fighters a little bit of magic know how with a Rune Master subclass or more effective killers with the Night Seeker class.
Fearsome F.O.E.s patrol the labyrinth and in Etrian Odyssey IV you see models instead of a deadly glowing light. Players can lure F.O.E.s. in for a fight (or distract them) with food found in dungeons. Players can also cook ingredients into dishes that temporarily boost the party’s parameters.
Etrian Odyssey IV comes out on July 5 in Japan.
