Atlus detailed some of the new additions included in the Switch version of the upcoming Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, releasing on June 1, 2023 for the Nintendo console and Windows PC. The auto-mapping function offers two different settings. With “Auto-mapping (ON),” the game will automatically detect and draw the floor tiles of the map. Meanwhile, “Auto-mapping (FULL)” will record both the floor tiles and walls in a dungeon. Auto-mapping can also be turned off for those who want to take care of their dungeon maps manually.

In addition, the game will support left-handed and right-handed settings for touchscreen map drawing. The map display position can be changed to the left or right depending on which dominant hand has been selected in the game’s settings.

As a reminder, Etrian Odyssey Origins will include adventurer portrait DLC inspired by characters in the Persona series, Soul Hackers 2, SMT III, and SMT V.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will release on the Switch and Windows PC on June 1, 2023. The collection includes HD remastered versions of Etrian Odyssey 1-3.
