Etrian Odyssey V’s Botanist Works With Some Powerful Plants

Another Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth class has been announced, the Botanist. This time, it is starting class for a role for the diminuative Brounis. They’re a race that seems quite similar to halflings or dwarves and, when they are assigned this class, can heal allies and inflict status effects on enemies.

A Botanist is a character you may want to keep on the back lines. They are there to support the party. Especially since, as they improve, they can head into the Merciful Healer or Graceful Poisoner specifications. They wield wands, though it is probably best to have them always be healing or making the lives of your foes more difficult. Some of their skills shown in the video include Healing Herb, Sweeping Herb, Refreshing Herb, Revival Herb, Toxic Smoke, and Dark Smoke.

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth will come to the Nintendo 3DS in North America on October 17, 2017. The European release date has yet to be announced.
