Good Smile Company previously released the regular plastic kit of the same unit in May 2023. It will only produce a limited amount of this metallic model kit. The order window for this kit will close once its stock has run out.

Good Smile Company has previously released Moderoid kits based on mechs from titles like Magic Knight Rayearth, Trails of Cold Steel, and Horizon Forbidden West. It will reveal more mecha-related model kits at the Mecha Smile Impact 2024 Winter live streams on December 8-9, 2023.

The metallic Moderoid kit of Evangelion Unit-01 will be available from January 2024.
